Let's Squawk About Crows Feet!

Crows feet can bring a grown man or woman to their knees! The emotional damage is just as brutal as the unsightly tracks that resemble those of a bird that feasts on road side carnage. They are nothing less than a blow to your ego and a strike against you every time you smile or laugh. Once crows feet sets in, you become another victim to the Black Bird of Aging.

Crows feet is just another sign of aging but could it have been prevented? Everyone is going to age but not at the same rate. What we do to protect our skin and bodies will determine our custom aging process but more importantly, what we DON'T do can accelerate aging and cause wrinkles prematurely. PREVENTION is key when it comes to skin care. Protecting our skin from external factors such as the harmful rays of the sun and all elements will keep you on track with the natural aging process.

Approximately 10% of aging is natural and the other 90% is brought on by our own bad habits. For those of you that smoke and drink alcohol on a daily basis, well, you are aging at a much faster rate than those that do not. Smoking damages collagen and elastin which are the fibers that give our skin strength and elasticity. It also impairs blood flow to your skin, depleting it of the much needed oxygen, nutrients and vitamins and eventually thins your skin. Your wrinkles are self induced and could have been prevented.

The sun lovers (including fake baking) are right next to you, neck and neck, competing for first place in the advanced aging competition. Any damage from the sun takes years later to show up on your face and when it does, you have no one else to blame. Overexposure to UV light from the sun can result in tissue destruction and even skin cancer. Again, PREVENTION is key.

Premature crows feet, like all other wrinkles, could have been prevented with proper care. Wearing a face and eye SPF of 15 or higher, every day, will help fight unnecessary aging along with avoiding Smoking, Alcohol Consumption, Stress, Sun Exposure and Dehydration. Take your skin and body care seriously by protecting and maintaining it on a daily basis. Staying hydrated with 70 to 90 ounces of daily water consumption will provide moisture from within and help your body function at it's optimum level.

For the individuals that don't smoke, avoid sun exposure, wear a daily SPF, drink your daily recommended amount of H2O and drink alcohol beverages in moderation, BUT YOU STILL DEVELOPED CROWS FEET PREMATURELY, well, blame your ancestors. People with lighter skin and less pigmentation usually age faster than those with darker skin. Your battle against aging is going to be more challenging but is worth it in the end. If creams or serums are not bringing you the results you desire, you may want to try advanced treatments for wrinkles and sagging.
